I first entered the adult industry in 2011. Since then, I have covered many areas of sex work, including: full service/escorting, webcam, phone chat lines, independent content production, fetish & BDSM, and adult films. Around 2015 I decided to train as a counsellor, inspired by others around me who were doing the same thing. I finished my training in 2019. I decided to move away from SW, and set up Red Umbrella Counselling for the sex work community after hearing horror stories from my contemporaries about experiences they had had with seeking therapy and counselling. Many counsellors and therapists just do not understand our world and have actually done more harm than good to sex workers who are seeking help. I am offering a truly safe and non-judgemental space for sex workers to address your issues – I was one of you for over a decade of my life! I am here for you and I hope that together we can help you overcome your troubles.
As many of you will be aware, keeping a low profile is very important for safety in the adult industry; this is why I have chosen not to put my name or face on my website at this time. I do conduct my sessions via VSee, so should you decide you’d like to work with me you will see both my name and my face – however I felt at this stage it is still necessary for me to maintain some online anonymity with my new business. This is not to deceive anybody, but to protect myself. As we know, the world at large is not generally kind to those of us in this line of work!
I am a registered member of the BACP (British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy) and adhere to their ethical framework which can be found here. I am also fully insured and in regular supervision with a senior counsellor, and I also have an enhanced DBS background check.
